Today was a GREAT day.....

Ok, so first off.... the weather is finally cooperating for the most part! YAY Gallatin Valley! It's warm enough to actually wear shorts, go bike riding, go to the beach, etc. Awesome! It can't get much better than this.... and the last two nights we've had thunderstorms so we have had rain.....

Today, we registered Lexi with the Belgrade Intermediate School. The principal saw Lexi's Iowa Basic Test scores and her schoolwork/tests from the 4th grade this past year and is going to put her into 5th grade. She even let Lexi go into her best friend/cousin Saylor's class. So that was a huge plus and Lexi is beyond excited! Her new teacher is Mrs.
Stavnitski.

I've had a pretty long list of "to do"s to get ready for our long summer vacation and think I've gotten almost all of it done. A few loose ends, but otherwise... ready.

I go back to work this Thursday and Friday night at the theater... It's only been a month but it feels so much longer than that!

We found out today that my niece, Katrina, will be coming back up with my parents on Sunday and she'll get to stay with us until we go to Colorado....

I've got to finish working on our family book for Mariah and Ang, so I better get this closed...

I probably won't be on here again until after the Fourth, so Happy Independance Day!

Rain.... Dreary Rain...

Ok, so I KNOW I should be thankful and overjoyed that we should have a mild summer as far as forest fires go.... BUT this rain is killing me! I am sitting here in long pants, long sleeve shirt, a sweater and I'm still cold.... and it's the second week in June!

Al Gore should come visit Montana.... he might rethink this whole "global warming" nonsense if he were freezing here in June! :-)

Anyhoo... the girls are done with school and Mommy is sooo thankful! It was a long school year for me. We still haven't received Lexi's standardized test scores and I'm a little frustrated with that. She passed with A's & B's.... Beka did really great too....

The girls and I had a lazy weekend. It was really nice. We went to the Soup Shack aka The Garage for lunch with my parents on Saturday.... yesterday after KMotion practice we ran to the store and I rented two movies from Redbox. Can I just say that "He's Just Not That Into You" was a TERRIBLE show! Yuck! I've started watching "Revolutionary Road" and not sure what I think of it yet.....

I think we have our trip a little more organized now. The girls and I will leave on Friday, July 31st to head to Parachute, Colorado to visit with my sister, Dwayne and Mena Moo. We'll stay about a week and then head from there to Cole Camp, Missouri to visit with Momma, Memom and PapaDad. I'll stay a couple days and then I'll leave the girls and head to Mississippi to visit some friends.... The beach and I will hopefully become very good friends! :-) I'll stay there a bit and head back.... a LOT of driving but I am very much looking forward to it!

Life is rolling along..... I can't believe it's already June!

It's been a while.....

Some things change, some things stay the same.

The girls will be finished with school this week! I think Mom is more excited than they are. I am really needing the break. Lexi has done excellent with her grades again. We are waiting on the results from her Standardized testing. We still have not received them yet. Beka at first was not a fan of reading but has decided the last couple months of school to get into it and it progressing really well. She is very good at Math. I am amazed at the concepts she has already developed at age 5!

I am enjoying my job at the church. I've met some wonderful people and have learned a ton. I think if I ever join the workforce again, this would be my dream job! Of course, the staff I work with goes a long, long way!

Lots of changes in our lives right now. Some are worth sharing and others, not just yet. Matt has started to work with Fort. and he's seeing good things so far. That being said, he leaves Friday for a month-long trip to help his mom with her business in Fort. as well.

I have taken some time off from the movie theater although I will work the month of July; I think. I am thinking of leaving the last week of July for our the girls and my trip. This time it's a bit different. Our first stop is Colorado; Parachute to be exact, to spend my time with my sister and her family.

From there, we will head to Missouri - Kansas City area - to spend some time with Momma, Memom and PapaDad. I'll leave the girls there and make my way down south. I'm thinking of hitting Louisiana and then driving along the coast through Mississippi and then into Alabama. I'm looking for a beach, a good book, and some hot summer days. I've never taken time to myself like that and am looking forward to being selfish for a short while! (and maybe end my summer with a killer tan!)

Lexi has decided to go to public school next year. I personally am happy with that decision as I want her to try it before hitting JR High. I think she'll enjoy it and do well. Beka will start 1st grade (where did my baby go?) in the fall. Although I think she would benefit from public school, she wants to have another year with mommy. So between working, possibly moving (I can't do another Montana winter), and other changes - it should prove interesting.
